Marianne Turgeon
Marianne Turgeon, MA, is a research assistant with the Inner City Health and Wellness Program. She completed a BSc (in Biological Sciences and Nutrition) and an MA (in Interdisciplinary Studies focusing on Cognitive Psychology in the context of Public Health) at the University of Alberta. Her research has focused on leveraging scientific knowledge translation to promote informed decision-making in health settings. She believes that every person deserves to have access to information and resources relevant to supporting their own health and wellbeing.
Since moving to Edmonton for school in 2018, Marianne has passionately worked to understand this city's diverse communities. Through extensive involvement in various non-profit organizations who serve the mission of increasing access to effective health-related learning, her motivation to apply community development strategies to contribute to positive change has grown. She brings this energy into collaboration on ICHWP's clinical research projects. In her free time, you'd be likely to find Marianne running, climbing, baking, cooking, or hiking.
