KATARINA BOGOSAVLJEVIĆ
KATARINA BOGOSAVLJEVIĆ, PhD is a Killam Postdoctoral Fellow in the School of Public Health at the University of Alberta. Katarina holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology (Honours) from Simon Fraser University (2016) and a Masters of Arts (2018) and PhD (2025) in Criminology from the University of Ottawa. Her dissertation explored the affective lives of people living with HIV under the criminalization of HIV nondisclosure and through the HIV epidemic eras. In her role with the Inner City Health and Wellness Program, Katarina is conducting a critical policy analysis of the Compassionate Intervention Act with a specific focus on the role of emotions in policy-making. Her research interests include qualitative and collaborative methods, critical policy studies, affect theory, the intersection of health, law and policy, narrative theory, and critical victimology. In her free time, Katarina enjoys cuddling up with her three cats while binging the latest TV shows, exploring restaurants around Edmonton, and travelling.
