Riley Hammond

Riley Hammond, RPN, BScPN, BA Honours, is a research assistant with the Inner City Health and Wellness Program and an MSc student in the University of Alberta’s Health Policy Research program with the School of Public Health. Riley’s research background in behavioral neuroscience, rural mental health and domestic violence in Manitoba, and urban HIV health in South Africa foster his passion for population health policy research and global health. As a registered psychiatric nurse, his community and clinical practice in forensic psychiatry and urban addictions medicine support and treatment reinforce his interest in collaborating with inner-city communities to find ways to improve social-health outcomes for folks living with mental health and substance use challenges.
