Renee McBeth
Renée is a community-engaged governance researcher. She is an Assistant Professor in
the Faculty of Native Studies at the University of Alberta where her current research
program focuses on lived experience and relationality in housing and health services. As
a Research Scientist with the Inner City Health and Wellness Program, Renée helps to
lead a cross-sector collaboration in central Edmonton that partners with People Who Use
Drugs to improve services and promote health and wellbeing. Renée is a co-applicant on
the SSHRC Partnership Grant, “Critical Approaches to Indigenous Relationality.” Renée
has English and French settler heritage and lives in Edmonton with her family.
