Nicole Gehring BSc MSc (cand.) is a Research Assistant with the Inner City Health and Wellness Program and MSc student in Health Policy Research at the School of Public Health, University of Alberta. She received her BSc at the University of British Columbia where she first began researching harm reduction. Currently, her thesis focuses on people with substance use disorders who are homeless and/or unstably housed within acute care as well as harm reduction through a social determinants of health lens. She also works as a Research Coordinator for the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Alberta where she researches online technologies for anxiety and depression and pediatric weight management.
