Arlanna Pugh BHSc MSc is a Research Coordinator with the Inner City Health & Wellness Program. She completed a Master of Science degree in Epidemiology at Queen’s University and an Honours Bachelor of Health Sciences degree at the University of Ottawa. While completing her studies, she co-delivered a series of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) camps in the Canadian Arctic which stimulated her interest in Indigenous health, social epidemiology, knowledge translation, and health system and services research for vulnerable and marginalized populations. Her Master’s work also helped her better understand the barriers and facilitators to delivering palliative care in four underserved rural communities. Arlanna currently works alongside the ICHWP team to help improve harm reduction services for Edmonton’s inner city community.
